162nd Tallarn: Six years in the making

The Tallarn Imperial Guard was the first army that I collected when I returned to the hobby. I picked up pieces here and there, expanding my force slowly. In a bid to increase my model count I patched in a platoon of Mordians and a platoon of Catachans. Sadly this created a hodge podge army that was not very inspiring to look at. It fel into disuse and languished in a box in the corner.

162nd Tallarn Army

Codex Daemon Hunters breathed new life into the Tallarns, and I repainted a good chunk of the men in urban grey. I painted a full platoon of three squads, threw in some Grey Knights, an Inquisitor, Mordians, and storm troopers, and voila! Instant army.

After another 4 years, the mood caught me and I mapped out an all Tallarn force. What you see here is the finished army. Padded out to 1500 points with doctrines, I think it needs a few more support elements, but should at least be competitive. Time will tell.
